Club Night

Club nights are held 10 Friday’s during the summer months (see Club Night Calendar).

At Club Night, swimmers have a choice of various races to swim – 25m, 50m, 100m and other events. The Club uses a point system that is fair for all swimmers so regardless of ability or age, swimmers can accumulate enough points to be Club champion. Whilst different clubs have different criteria, we feel this is a simple and fair point system:

1 point = per Club Night attended
1 point = per Swim Meet attended
2 points = PB at Club night
5 points = PB at Swim Meet

As Club night is designed to be a fun, social environment for the children and parents, there is a BBQ held during Club nights.

Encouragement, most improved and age championship* prizes will be awarded at the end of the season for Club members. Criteria for prizes will be decided by the Club Committee and Coaches.

For each Club night to run successfully we need volunteers to help with setting up, marshaling, timekeeping, selling raffle tickets and cooking of the BBQ. Volunteers are part of making Club nights a success!

* age for age championship awards – the age your child is as at 1st January 2019
