The Emmanuel College Swimming Club (ECSC) is a young and growing Club and are proud to offer swimming pathways and opportunities to our increasing membership. Our members range from recreational swimmers through to open national qualified swimmers with all swimmers being registered members of Swimming Queensland. ECSC participates in swimming meets around the Gold Coast region as well as State and National Swimming Championships.
At Emmanuel College Swimming Club, we focus on attaining the best an individual can achieve and aim to assist all swimmers in the Club to succeed and reach their personal best at all times.

Emmanuel Swim Club is open to the public – everyone is welcome!
Our EC Squad program provides a constant flow of swimmers into each of the squads in the competitive and fitness programs. The development and training of swimmers is aimed at maintaining a competitive swimming club with high levels of performance and achievements.
We can achieve this by:
- Building confidence
- Developing the mental strength of the swimmer & a positive attitude toward training
- Constantly monitoring the dynamics of workload, sports results and fitness
- Developing strategic thinkers
Our Head Coach Mr Adrian Adam has just retired. We are about to advertise his position for commencement at the start of Term 2.
Miss Christie Sofatzis is currently acting as Head Coach and will continue in this roll until the new appointment.
Miss Sofatzis is supported by a team of outstanding coaches and instructors, including:
Mrs Mariana Mandache
An Olympic IM and Butterfly swimmer, Mariana has twenty years coaching experience in Europe, Turkey and New Zealand. She has won a number of Coach of the Year awards from both National federations and clubs in that time.
Miss Olivia Skea
Olivia is a current national level swimmer and SAT Coach. She is an Emmanuel College Alumni who has been a dedicated participant and supportive volunteer of the Emmanuel College Swimming Club community and continues to show her support through her coaching.
Mr Sam Woodfield
Being a competitive swimmer himself, Sam is an avid sportsman who understands the training needs of all swimmers and strives to get the best results for each student. Currently studying IT, Sam continues to give back to his swimming community. Sam has represented the State for swimming and is a qualified Bronze level coach.
All swimmers intending to compete at club meets are expected to be registered with our Emmanuel College Swimming Club. Registration forms are available online at www.emmanuelswimming.org.au.
